  • Charge for carry-ons but not luggage compartment. I think it's an imposition on everyone else to have oversized luggage carried on by oversized passengers. Enforce the charge for obesity too.

  • Profiteering??  The industry has lost money for decades.  They should charge for taking luggage on the plane, but not in the luggage compartment.  Better yet, cut the nitpicking and raise ticket fees to some sustainable level.

  • Actually I'd be happy for Thain to have his job back--as CEO of MER.  Remember, the merger that was closed was not approved--a new, secret deal had been struck in Washington behind closed doors.  Everything remains status quo ante at Dec 31.
